The Cooper in Schools (CIS) Program at Cooper University Health Care invites school nurses, coaches, athletic trainers and school administrators to its annual continuing-education symposium on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Cherry Hill, NJ.

CIS save dateSave the date for our upcoming Cooper in Schools continuing education symposium for certified athletic trainers, school nurses, guidance counselors, and other nurses and allied health professionals.

Schools & Communities: Better Together will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration fee is $40. For more information, please call 856.382.6444.

Cooper in SchoolsParent Information Night at the LEAP Academy in Camden

On December 4, Cooper in Schools presented health information for Parent Information Night at the LEAP Academy in Camden. Dr. Tom Drake, of the Department of Neurology and Development at Children’s Regional Hospital, and Dr. David Gealt, of the Cooper Bone & Joint Institute, spoke about concussions to a group of 35 parents and student athletes.

On Tuesday, March 20th, nearly 100 school nurses, coaches and athletic trainers from across the Delaware Valley joined Cooper in Schools at The Westin in Mount Laurel for their third annual Continuing Education Symposium “Stronger Children, Stronger Communities.”

“Cooper in Schools” Offers Educational Tours, Workshops and Symposiums To Students in South Jersey

From sports injuries to obesity, Cooper has found a way to educate children on these important issues while also improving their health and wellness and exposing them to exciting careers in healthcare. “Cooper in Schools” is a multidisciplinary program at Cooper University Hospital that provides health and wellness education to students, teachers, school nurses and communities within the Delaware Valley.
