Cooper University Health Care Delivers on Promise to Improve EMS Services to City of Camden

In 2016, Cooper EMS responded to nearly 10 percent more calls and responded within eight-minutes on more than 90 percent of ALS calls meeting a national benchmark. In addition, Cooper EMS provided additional community outreach, education, and training services to local residents and emergency professionals.

You may be aware of recent, intense media coverage of a proposed piece of New Jersey legislation to align Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) in the City of Camden under a single Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provider to improve the quality and efficiency of care in our traditionally underserved urban setting.
