MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper is expanding its services with the opening of a new inpatient oncology unit at Cooper University Hospital. The new, specialized 30-bed, all private-room unit on the 5th floor of the Roberts Pavilion will replace Cooper’s existing oncology inpatient unit and will begin accepting patients in early July.

Spitz, M.D., as Vice Chief of Surgery, Head of the Division of General Surgery and Deputy Director of the Cooper Cancer Institute. Dr. Spitz is a leading surgical oncologist with expertise in gastrointestinal cancers including esophageal, pancreatic, gastric, and hepatobiliary.
