New Parking Equipment and Procedures for CCIA garage

New parking equipment has been installed in the CCIA garage and will begin operating at 5 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2016.

The following new procedures will be in effect starting on Friday, July 15, 2016:

  • The entry and exit gate arms above the fourth floor in the Employee Parking Area (nested area) will be kept down at all times.
  • All first-, second-, and third-shift employees must park above the fourth floor beyond the gate in the Employee Parking Area (nested area) of the garage.
  • Cooper employees permitted to park in the CCIA garage MUST use their employee badges to enter the gate in the Employee Parking Area above the fourth floor of the garage (nested area) and again at the Employee Parking Area exit gate on their way out. If you fail to use your employee badge on the entry gate AND the exit gate of the Employee Parking Area, the gate at the garage exit will not open and you will not be able to exit.
  • If you use your badge to enter the Employee Parking Area (nested area) above the fourth floor, then use your badge on the exit gate of the Employee Parking Area within 15 minutes, you MUST exit the garage in the following 15 minutes. If you fail to exit the garage within that time, then the arm to the gate at the exit of the garage will not open and you will not be able to exit.
  • Physicians, physician assistants, and advanced practice nurses working their regular shifts are required to park in the Employee Parking Area (nested area) above the fourth floor.
  • Physicians and certain staff who are responding to an emergency call will have special access granted by exception to the above rules.

IF you are NOT permitted to park in the CCIA garage as a Cooper employee, and have a business reason to be in the garage, THEN you must pull a ticket at entry and pay to park and follow all Cooper parking policies.

As we go live with the new system, the parking attendants will be on site to monitor the equipment and insure that there are no significant delays during high traffic and peak entry times.

Installation of the new equipment at the Haddon Garage will begin shortly.

Thank you for your continued cooperation with our parking rules.
