Employee Parking at Hospital and Ambulatory Sites

More people than ever are choosing Cooper University Health Care for their health care needs. While this growth is welcomed, it is putting a strain on available parking at the hospital and ambulatory offices.

It is very important that we have enough parking spaces to accommodate our patients and visitors. Therefore, employees are only permitted to park in their assigned parking areas. For those assigned to the Waterfront Garage or the Haddon Garage, parking in the CCIA Garage during the day is not permitted until 2 p.m. Additionally, all employee parking in the CCIA garage is permitted only above the gate located on level 4.

Employees assigned to ambulatory sites should park only in designated employee parking areas. Please see your manager for more information.

As a reminder, all employees are required to follow Cooper’s Parking Policy 8.307 Benefits – Parking, found on the Cooper Policy Network (CPN). The relevant section (H) of the policy is below.

Policy 8.307 Benefits – Parking

  1. Assignment of Employee Parking locations:
  2. Employees are required to park at their assigned location.
  3. Employees may not opt out of a parking plan to avoid parking at their assigned location nor may they pay cash to park in an unassigned location.
  4. All employees will be permitted to park in the CCIA Garage or Haddon Garage during off-peak times (nights, weekends, and holidays). All employees may park in the CCIA Garage or Haddon Garage after 2 p.m. Such times will be determined and communicated by the Parking Office and are subject to change.

A list of employees assigned to offsite parking locations will be maintained by the parking management vendor. The list will be formatted on the basis of seniority, with the most senior-tenured employee listed first. As onsite parking becomes available at the CCIA Garage, the Haddon Garage and/or the CCBO lot, this list will be used to sequentially identify employees who will be offered a parking space at a parking location closest to their assignment based on their tenure as a Cooper employee. This list will be updated monthly in order to remain current by removing the names of former employees and adding the names of new employees.
