THURSDAY: Human Development and the Future of the Mental Health Field

The next installment in the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Department’s speaker series will take place on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Please join us in welcoming Steven Berkowitz, MD, Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Director of the Stress, Trauma, Adversity Research and Treatment Center, for his lecture “Human Development and the Future of the Mental Health Field.”

Dr. Berkowitz will share findings from his research on the impact of childhood traumatic exposure and reactions across the lifespan. Dr. Berkowitz will lecture on methods for treating patients suffering from the effects of trauma, chronic stress, and adversity. Attendees can learn about a range of treatments that have demonstrated effectiveness with evidence-supported outcomes.
