Cooper’s Emergency Alert System Gets an Upgrade

Following a recent upgrade of Cooper’s emergency alert system, team members who routinely receive trauma alerts or code calls will begin receiving these notifications via their Cisco desktop phones through the phone’s speaker. Alerts will also continue to be broadcast over the hospital’s overhead speakers.

This upgrade is the first phase of an initiative to expand Cooper’s emergency notifications. Future phases of the initiative will include updates to the hospital’s overhead speakers, integration of panic buttons and digital signage, and plans to extend the delivery of emergency communications to Cooper computers and employees’ mobile phones.
