On Saturday, October 13, Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper partnered with Mitsubishi Motors and Kids Safety First to conduct free safety seats checks during Mitsubishi’s Annual East Coast Owners Day event at Campbell’s Field in Camden, N.J. Parents and caregivers received one-on-one instruction from certified child passenger safety technicians on how to properly use and install their child’s infant or booster seat. During the event, Cooper received a donation of $1,000 worth of safety seats from Dorel Juvenile Group as well as a $3,000 grant from Mitsubishi Motors and Kids Safety First to support safety seat checks.

“This was a wonderful opportunity to reach many families who will greatly benefit from this information,” said Michael H. Goodman, MD, Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics for Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper. “We are grateful to Mitsubishi and Kids Safety First for their efforts in raising awareness to this issue. Through their generous grant and Dorel’s donation, Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper can assist families in keeping children in and around the South Jersey Region safe and protected.”
