In the News: Understanding Pancreatic Cancer

On January 14, 2021, news broke that Siegfried Fischbacher, famously known as part of the magician duo Siegfried & Roy, had died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 81. Pancreatic cancer, a gastrointestinal cancer that is caused when cancer cells grow abnormally in the pancreas, was in the news several months ago when Jeopardy game show host Alex Trebek died at the of age 80 after a nearly two-year battle with the disease.
