The Lauren Rose Foundation Donates Over 100 “Mothers Matter” Gifts to Cooper Patients

mothersmatterOn May 9, The Lauren Rose Foundation visited Cooper University Hospital and donated more than 100 gift bags for new moms, oncology patients, trauma family members and others who might not make it home in time for Mother’s Day. Since 2001, the foundation has reached out to mothers-in-need by donating hundreds of gift bags overflowing with personal health and beauty care products to various community agencies, charities and health care facilities during the week leading up to Mother’s Day.

School children, girl scouts, businesses and community organizations and agencies as well as local and county governments and colleges participate through Mothers Matter collection drives, contributions and volunteer support. Volunteers assemble beautiful gift bags, each bearing the message that “Mothers Matter.” Since the project began in 2001, Mothers Matter volunteers assembled and delivered more than 24, 000 Mother’s Day Gift Bags to day care centers, women’s shelters and safe houses, pediatric medical day care facilities, women’s agencies, hospitals and other facilities that serve the needs of women.
