For 13 Years, Divas for a Cure Has Been Raising Money to Benefit Cancer Patients
The Divas for a Cure, a non-profit group of female motorcycle enthusiasts, roared up to MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper on Saturday, December 1, 2018, on their cycles to present the proceeds of their annual fundraising efforts. Since the group’s inception in 2005, it has donated more than $141,000 to the cancer center. A treatment room recently was dedicated in recognition of the group’s efforts.
Divas For A Cure “DFAC” annual fundraising efforts this year were supported by many people in the community. This year’s Divas For a Cure Breast Cancer Ride was sponsored by Barb’s Harley-Davidson. The official ride coordinator was the United States Black Cavalry Family “USBCF” and road guards were provided by New Jersey Buffalo Soldiers – Mother Chapter “NJBSMC”. The 2018 fundraising partners were Team Money Cycles “TMC”, Raymour & Flanigan, PageTurner Network, Tenth Street Baptist Church Women’s Ministry, as well as family and numerous friends in the motorcycle community.
