If you are a patient scheduled for an outpatient procedure or office visit tomorrow, you will receive a call today from your health care provider to reschedule your appointment. If you do not receive a call by 3 p.m. today, January 26, please call the office you are scheduled to visit. Read more.

Cooper Participates in Clinical Trial for Patients With Emphysema

Physicians at Cooper University Health Care are taking part in a clinical trial to test the effectiveness of a less invasive treatment for patients with severe emphysema. Cooper is one of about 24 sites participating in the EMPROVE clinical trial in the United States.

Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper Hosts Holiday Parties for Patients and Families

On Monday December 15 and Tuesday December 16, Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper hosted their annual holiday celebrations for outpatient visitors to their Voorhees and Camden locations. In addition to visits with Santa (aka pediatrician Bill Sharrar, MD, who has played Santa for several years), children were treated to age-appropriate gifts and refreshments. Cooper Heart Institute Team Performs TAVR Procedure Using Conscious Sedation

A team of cardiothoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists and anesthesiologists at the Cooper Heart Institute recently achieved a medical milestone by performing transcatheter aortic valve replacement, or TAVR, under conscious sedation for the first time. Since then, the team has successfully performed several additional cases using this method.

AmeriHealth New Jersey Expands Co-Branded Product Offering With Two Additional South Jersey Hospitals

AmeriHealth New Jersey has expanded its co-branded product offering with Cooper University Health Care to include Shore Medical Center and Cape Regional Medical Center. The addition of Shore and Cape has expanded the product’s reach to also include Atlantic and Cape May counties, hence the plan’s new name: “Community Advantage.”

The initial co-branded product offering from AmeriHealth New Jersey and Cooper, called Cooper Advantage, became available in October 2013 and enrolled more than 11,500 members in the first six months. Read more.
