Local Nonprofit Donates Art Cart to Benefit Children at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper

Young patients at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper outpatient clinic will be able to nurture their creative sides thanks to the donation of Alicia’s Art Cart from the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF).

The arts and crafts cart is stocked with age-appropriate products from arts and crafts retailer A.C. Moore, and is designed to give children receiving medical treatment an opportunity for creativity and expression during that treatment. Read more.

Adrienne Kirby, PhD, FACHE, President and CEO of Cooper University Health Care, was a guest panelist today at the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 3rd Annual Economic Conference.

Jeffrey Lang, associate principal horn for the Philadelphia Orchestra, found a unique way to say thank  you for the great care he received recently as a patient at Cooper University Health Care. Cooper EMS Helps Family Displaced by Hurricane Maria

Last week, Bob Chester and Zach Ewan, members of Cooper’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team, met a local family helping relatives from Puerto Rico who were displaced by Hurricane Maria. They knew this family would need some help getting through the season. Together with on- and off-duty staff, donations came in for a Christmas tree, toys, and gift certificates to use for clothing. HO! HO! HO! Santa Claus Has a New Sleigh – Makes Pre-Holiday Visit to Cooper

While the reindeer rest up for their big night on Christmas Eve, the flight crew of Cooper 1, Cooper University Health Care’s air medical transport helicopter, gave Santa a lift as he made a pre-Christmas visit to the hospital.  For the past five years, Santa has completed a pre-holiday test run to visit children hospitalized at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper.
