In observance of the Independence Day Holiday, all Cooper outpatient offices, with the exception of our Cooper Urgent Care Centers, will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, 2015.

For your convenience, our Urgent Care Centers are open both days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cooper Verified as Level II Pediatric Trauma Center

Cooper University Hospital has been verified as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), announced Adrienne Kirby, PhD, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cooper University Health Care. Cooper is the first hospital in South Jersey and the second among the New Jersey’s Level I trauma centers to achieve this verification.

Cooper OR Expansion to Begin in July

We are excited to announce that our multi-phased Operating Room Expansion project in the Kelemen Building will begin on July 1, 2015. Plans of the new facility, along with finish sample boards, will be posted on Kelemen 3rd floor on May 25, 2015. The project will incorporate many improvements for staff including expanded locker rooms, a larger lounge and a new resident lounge.  Read more.

Cardiologists at Cooper Become First in South Jersey, Philadelphia Region to Implant the WATCHMAN Device

Innovative Technology Reduces Stroke Risk, Alternative to Long-Term Medication Use

On May 11, 2015, a multidisciplinary team at the Cooper Heart Institute became the first in South Jersey and the Philadelphia region to implant the newly approved WatchmanTM Left Atrial Appendage Closure device, providing patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF) an alternative to long-term “blood-thinning” warfarin medication.
