Cooper University Health Care is the first hospital in New Jersey to treat complex abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) with the new Chimney EndoVascular Aneurysm Sealing (ChEVAS™) System. MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper Participating in National Pilot Project to Increase Diversity in Cancer Treatment Trials

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper is participating by invitation in a national pilot project being conducted by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC). The pilot project is testing a research site self-assessment tool and training program focused on increasing racial and ethnic diversity among cancer treatment trial participants.

Carman Ciervo, DO, has been named chief physician executive of Cooper Care Alliance (CCA), Cooper University Health Care’s community-based physician group.

Formed in 2020, CCA, a community-based physician group, is the health system’s second physician group along with the 800-member Cooper University Physicians (CUP) group, South Jersey’s largest physician group.
