Cooper Honors PCU Nurse with DAISY Award
(Camden, NJ) — Cooper University Health Care recently recognized Caitlin Oshea, RN, of Garnet Valley, Delaware County, Pennsylvania with the DAISY Award for providing exceptional nursing care.
Caitlin, a nurse on Cooper’s Progressive Care Unit, was nominated by the wife of a patient who described her as very caring, empathetic, and supportive. “Caitlin showed extraordinary compassion,” the patient’s wife said. “I felt good knowing she was taking care of him, she went above and beyond to give him his dignity back.” Read more.

Jeffrey C. Brenner, MD, medical director of the Urban Health Institute at Cooper University Health Care and executive director of the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, was honored as Humanitarian of the Year by the Philadelphia Business Journal at its Healthcare Innovators/Doctors of Distinction event on October 20, 2016.

Cooper Celebrates Opening of New Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
To meet increased patient demand, the Cooper Heart Institute unveiled a new, state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory on October 10, 2016.
“Cooper has one of the busiest catheterization labs in the region,” said Phillip A.
