PSE&G Program Will Help Make Cooper University Hospital More Energy Efficient

Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) is joining with Cooper University Hospital to help bring substantial energy efficiency improvements to the 600-bed healthcare facility. Funding for the work is through the PSE&G Hospital Efficiency Program, which made $79 million available to perform energy efficiency upgrades at hospitals in the utility’s service territory.

Therapeutic Hypothermia Program Highlighted in SJ Magazine

The February issue of SJ Magazine featured an article about life saving medical advances in emergency cardiac care. Therapeutic hypothermia is a treatment used on cardiac arrest patients. After a patient is resuscitated, they are cooled so that their core body temperature drops in order to prevent brain damage caused by the heart stopping.

Cooper and Rowan Announce New Partnership in Law Enforcement for Health Sciences Campus

Cooper University Hospital and Rowan University have entered into an agreement that will enhance public safety on the Camden Health Sciences Campus. According to this agreement, Rowan will provide law enforcement officers for the campus surrounding the hospital and the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, which is currently under construction. Emphasis will be given to Camden Police Officers who were recently laid-off from their jobs.
