Camden Students Make “Heart Hug” Pillows for Hospitalized Children at Cooper

Representatives from Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper visited St. Anthony of Padua School in Camden on Thursday, April 12, 2018, to accept several dozen handmade “heart hug” pillows crafted by sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students as part of a community outreach project. The pillows will be given to hospitalized children at Cooper.

The “Heart Hug” pillow project was initiated by Linda Burns, an art teacher at St. Read more.

Cooper University Health Care Delivers on Promise to Improve EMS Services to City of Camden

In 2016, Cooper EMS responded to nearly 10 percent more calls and responded within eight-minutes on more than 90 percent of ALS calls meeting a national benchmark. In addition, Cooper EMS provided additional community outreach, education, and training services to local residents and emergency professionals.

Cooper and Rowan Announce New Partnership in Law Enforcement for Health Sciences Campus

Cooper University Hospital and Rowan University have entered into an agreement that will enhance public safety on the Camden Health Sciences Campus. According to this agreement, Rowan will provide law enforcement officers for the campus surrounding the hospital and the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, which is currently under construction. Emphasis will be given to Camden Police Officers who were recently laid-off from their jobs.

A Message About Safety On The Cooper Campus

The security of patients, visitors and staff is a priority at Cooper University Hospital, and we have always taken great strides to ensure that our Health Sciences Campus is safe and crime free. Cooper has a large force of experienced Security Officers. These officers patrol the Cooper campus around –the-clock, both on foot and in vehicles, to ensure a safe environment.
