This week, the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper’s breast health team held “Dense Breast and Abnormal Breast Imaging,” an opportunity for women to learn more about the management of abnormalities found on mammograms and how having dense breasts can affect their risk for breast cancer. Twenty-six women attended this interactive program, which was presented by Beth Ann Quattrocchi, APN, Pauline Germaine, DO, and Vivian Bea, MD. Read more.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an opportunity to raise awareness for detection, treatment, education, and research of breast cancer, as well as programs to support those affected by this disease.
This month, Dr. Anthony Dragun, Chairman and Chief of the Department of Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, is participating in the Real Men Wear Pink initiative of the American Cancer Society. Read more.
