Employee Volunteer Program

Giving back to the community is an important part of Cooper’s mission To Serve. To Heal. To Educate.

Each year, Cooper sponsors or participates in more than 100 charitable, community-based health events. From offering free health screenings to providing information and education about Cooper’s programs and services or sponsoring a charitable running event, our goal is to educate, engage, and empower the communities we serve.

Employees frequently ask about taking part in these efforts, and we’re making it easier than ever to participate!

Cooper’s Employee Volunteer Program is an exciting new initiative that offers staff the opportunity to represent Cooper in the community by volunteering at a variety of health and outreach events.

What are the rules for participation?

  • Participation is strictly voluntary. No employee is ever required to volunteer.
  • Employees may participate to further the goal of serving the community and improving community health.
  • Employees must be in good standing by having successfully completed a 90-day performance review, having no written disciplines in the past 12 months, and having a rating of “valued performer” or above in their most recent performance evaluation.
  • Employees may participate only during periods of time when they are not scheduled to work at Cooper and to perform activities that are not part of their normal job at Cooper.
  • Volunteer activity will not be considered in employees’ performance reviews.

What types of volunteer opportunities are available?
There are many options for volunteering, including local health fairs, township festivals, faith-based fairs, military/veteran events, school-based fairs, clinical non-profit events, running events, and many more.
