WHAT: Santa Claus will arrive via helicopter to visit pediatric patients and distribute gifts in a pre-Christmas visit to Cooper University Health Care in Camden. While the reindeer rest up for their big night on Christmas Eve, the pilots and staff of the hospital’s air medical transport helicopter, Cooper 1, will give Santa a lift as he stops by to visit hospitalized children.

BACKGROUND:
Cooper 1 provides critical care air medical transportation from locations throughout the seven counties of southern New Jersey to Cooper University Hospital. Critically injured patients receive rapid transport from emergency scenes to Cooper’s Level 1 Trauma Center, the only state-designated Level 1 trauma in South Jersey. Additionally, the helicopter provides rapid transfer for patients at other hospitals in the region who are critically ill or injured and need the advanced medical and/or surgical care only available at Cooper.
