Cooper’s Addiction Medicine Center for Healing Opens New Camden Office

The Cooper Center for Healing, which includes Cooper University Health Care’s Addiction Medicine Division, has opened a new community-based office in Camden for patients suffering from addiction disorders. Conveniently located in the Bridgeview Building at 800 Cooper Street in Camden, the new office will provide more opportunities for substance use disorder treatments for patients across South Jersey.

Celebrating National Public Health Week with Cooper’s Community and Population Health Team

Last week, April 5-11, was National Public Health Week. Cooper University Health Care has a community outreach team that demonstrates the work done in public health within the department of Population Health. The focus of Population Health is to transform care delivery to empower patients and improve the health of our community.

Celebrating Patient Access Week!

This week, the Patient Access Center at Cooper celebrated National Patient Access Week 2021. The Patient Access Center is a fast-paced call center with a very talented team of patient navigators.

A patient navigator is proactive in serving patients. “Our patient navigators provide a single and centralized point of patient access to physician and radiology services across multiple disciplines. Our navigators are tech-savvy, service-oriented, communicate effectively, and have excellent Cooper Core Values,” said Gabriel Suckey, Manager of our Patient Access Center. Read more.

Celebrating Our Cooper Physicians on National Doctors’ Day

Training Program Helps Cooper Team Members Advance in Their Careers

Cooper University Health Care in conjunction with Camden County College and Impact Charity Services have developed a new career training program for Cooper team members interested in advancing their health care careers.

Funded by a grant from Impact Charity Services , a local non-profit, the Patient Care Technician Program is designed to prepare students to train for one of the fastest growing professions in the health care industry today. Read more.

Cooper University Health Care Hosts Visit from the U.S. Army Surgeon General

On March 18, 2021, Lieutenant General R. Scott Dingle, The U.S. Army Surgeon General and Commanding General, U.S. Army Medical Command, visited Cooper University Health Care to meet with hospital leadership and current Army personnel embedded at Cooper as part of Army Medical Department Military-Civilian Trauma Team Training program. Meadowbrook, PACooper University Health Care and Redeemer Health today announced a new partnership creating an integrated cancer program at Holy Redeemer Hospital that will be overseen by MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

In September 2013, Cooper partnered with MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the nation’s leading cancer centers, to create MD Anderson at Cooper. Read more.
