Cooper Trauma Nurse Earns Pat Tillman Foundation Award to Support Studies at Rutgers–Camden Nursing School

Cooper trauma nurse Laura Tolver, RN, of Edgewater Park, has been named a Tillman Scholar by the Pat Tillman Foundation. A student currently enrolled in the doctor of nursing practice (DNP) program at Rutgers University–Camden, she is one of only five nursing students nationwide, and only 61 students overall, to earn this highly competitive scholarship this year.

Tolver is one of two students attending Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, to receive this award. Read more.

Cooper Honors Haddonfield Nurse with DAISY Award

Cooper University Health Care recently recognized Diane Werner, RN, of Haddonfield, NJ, with The DAISY Award for providing exceptional nursing care. Diane works as a nurse in Cooper’s Post Anesthesia Care Unit and was nominated by the family of a recent patient.  She was cited for her professional care, compassion and advocacy on behalf of the patient following several recent surgeries. Cooper Honors PCU Nurse with DAISY Award

(Camden, NJ)  — Cooper University Health Care recently recognized Caitlin Oshea, RN, of Garnet Valley, Delaware County, Pennsylvania with the DAISY Award for providing exceptional nursing care.

Caitlin, a nurse on Cooper’s Progressive Care Unit, was nominated by the wife of a patient who described her as very caring, empathetic, and supportive. “Caitlin showed extraordinary compassion,” the patient’s wife said. “I felt good knowing she was taking care of him, she went above and beyond to give him his dignity back.” Read more.
