Cooper’s 2017 Quality and Patient Safety Award Winners!

We are pleased to announce the 2017 winners of Cooper’s Quality and Patient Safety Awards. These awards recognize the numerous innovative efforts geared toward improving care and creating a safe environment for patients and staff. The winners were selected by a committee of Cooper employees who evaluated the programs on a number of metrics, including high-quality clinical outcomes achieved, improved patient safety, sustainability, and measurable results. All of the teams exhibited leadership, teamwork, and innovation in their respective improvement initiatives. Thank you for your participation!

Congratulations to the following winners:

Operational Award 

The Gastric Sleeve Clinical Pathway Team received this award in recognition of their implementation of a clinical pathway that has reduced complications, mortality, readmissions, length of stay, and cost per case for gastric sleeve surgical patients.

Quality & Patient Safety Award

The MD Anderson Cooper Triage Team received this award in recognition of their implementation of the Infusion Triage Process in Camden, which provides for better cancer symptom management, while reducing ED visits and hospital admissions.

Honorable Mention Quality & Patient Safety Award

The Kelemen 10th Floor Team received this award for their work in fall reduction.
