Reminder: Better Health for Those Living With Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Cooper was recently awarded funding from the State of New Jersey to support the development of an expanded program to care for patients with neurodevelopmental and intellectual disabilities. Some of the goals of this program include improving individualized care, making charting and documentation easier, being proactive in identifying the special needs of these patients and their families, and creating appropriate sensory spaces throughout the health system, including mobile units.

As a first step, we invite you to join experts from Cooper and Bancroft in collaboration with Autism NJ and the New Jersey Department of Health for “Better Health for Those Living with Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD).” This free conference and workshop is open to providers who may be interested in the conversation around improving the patient care experience for patients with autism or I/DD: physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, behavioral specialists, and others.
