Cooper Doctor First to Perform Innovative Treatment for Compression Fracture in the Back

Cooper University Health Care recently became the first hospital in South Jersey to perform a new minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures (VCFs). The Kiva® VCF Treatment System, the first new approach to the treatment of VCFs in more than a decade, significantly reduces pain and helps restores function to patients.

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper Opens Expanded Infusion Center

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper unveiled a new, expanded infusion center on Friday, November 4, 2016, for patients needing chemotherapy and other infusion treatments. The $3.3 million expansion, located on the third floor of MD Anderson Cooper, nearly doubles the treatment area available for patients from 18 infusion bays and two private rooms to 32 bays and four private rooms.

Researchers at Cooper University Health Care find link between better patient experience and favorable medical outcomes in U.S. hospitals

For many years, the medical community has debated whether a positive patient experience (often termed “patient satisfaction”) has an impact on clinical outcomes in the hospital. While a correlation was thought to exist, a new study published March 17 in the Journal of Patient Experience by researchers at Cooper University Health Care shows that there is an association between a positive patient experience and favorable clinical outcomes in U.S. Read more.

Cooper Announces $2 Million Grant from William G. Rohrer Charitable Foundation to Support Cancer Genetics Program

Cooper University Health Care Chairman George E. Norcross, III, today announced that the William G. Rohrer Charitable Foundation has awarded The Cooper Foundation a $2 million grant to help fund the expansion of the cancer genetics program at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

Cooper University Health Care extends hearty congratulations to the Ripa family, as Kelly Ripa received her star on the renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday in Los Angeles.  The Ripa Center for Women’s Health and Wellness at Cooper in Voorhees serves thousands of women in South Jersey through primary care, radiology services, OB/GYN care, medical specialties just for women, and complementary health education and fitness classes.  Read more.

To Our Patients,  Families and Visitors:

Thank you for choosing  Cooper. As you are probably aware, the city of Philadelphia is hosting two large scale events, the World Meeting of Families taking place from September 22 through September 25, 2015,  and Pope Francis’ visit on September 26 and September 27, 2015.

As announced by regional authorities, due to security concerns and the large number of visitors expected at these two events, road and bridge closures in the region and revised public transportation schedules will impact travel in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Read more.
