Cooper Experts Give Feedback on Eagle’s Evaluation of Concussions

After week one, many concerned fans questioned the Eagle’s decision to put two of their players back in the game after they suffered severe head injuries by hard tackles made on the field. After being taken out of the game for good, the players were diagnosed with concussions.

Understanding Shut-Down Learners Featured in Calgary’s Child

Richard Selznick, Ph.D., Director of the Cooper Learning Center, wrote an article featured in Calgary’s Child about seven strategies to help a child who is struggling academically in school. Several tips for addressing or preventing shut-down learners include open and positive communication with your child, understanding and identifying the problem, and finding someone to act as a school mentor.

Cooper’s Information Technology department received a “Health IT Innovation Award” for Implementation of cardiology PACS and cardiovascular information system (CVIS) on a virtualized server solution.
