AmeriHealth New Jersey Expands Co-Branded Product Offering With Two Additional South Jersey Hospitals
AmeriHealth New Jersey has expanded its co-branded product offering with Cooper University Health Care to include Shore Medical Center and Cape Regional Medical Center. The addition of Shore and Cape has expanded the product’s reach to also include Atlantic and Cape May counties, hence the plan’s new name: “Community Advantage.”
The initial co-branded product offering from AmeriHealth New Jersey and Cooper, called Cooper Advantage, became available in October 2013 and enrolled more than 11,500 members in the first six months. Read more.

Jeffrey C. Brenner, MD, Medical Director of the Urban Health Institute at Cooper University Health Care and Executive Director of the Camden Coalition, has been elected to the prestigious Institute of Medicine (IOM). The IOM announced the names of 70 new members and 10 foreign associates during its 43rd annual meeting. Election to the IOM is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service. For 20 Years, Chrome Riders Have Been Roaring Into Camden to Cheer at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper
On Saturday, October 25, 2014, nearly 100 members and friends of the Chrome Riders Riding Club roared Camden to bring cheer to children hospitalized at the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper. They brought with them a trailer full of toys, games, gift cards and other items. This was the 20th year that the Chrome Riders sponsored the Toy Run.

On Monday, September 22, 2014, representatives from Helen’s Angels presented physicians and staff from MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and the Cooper Foundation with a $10,000 check to support the Patient in Need Fund.
Helen’s Angels, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to the support of individuals and their families in the Greater Philadelphia area who have been diagnosed with, impacted by or recovering from breast cancer. Read more.
