Unemployment Insurance Fraud Alert

As we are in the midst of the income tax season, we want to make you aware of an unemployment insurance fraud alert issued by the U.S. Department of Justice, National Unemployment Insurance Fraud Task Force. During the pandemic a number of fraudulent unemployment insurance claims have been filed across the country and in New Jersey. Unfortunately, a few Cooper employees have been the victim of these fraudulent activities.

If you received a Form 1099-G tax form indicating you collected unemployment insurance benefits when you did not do so, we encourage you to review the information provided by the U.S. Department of Justice (click here) and take the appropriate action.
