American Heart Month and Wear Red Day

Tomorrow is the start of American Heart Month and Friday is National Wear Red Day. To help increase awareness about the prevention and treatment of heart disease and stroke, wear your favorite shade of red on Friday and share your photos on Pulse+.

Heart disease is the number one cause of deaths in the U.S., affecting all ages, genders, and ethnicities. Risk factors include high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, overweight or obese, physical inactivity, smoking, and excessive alcohol use.

Are you keeping your heart healthy? American Heart Month is a great time to start some heart-healthy habits! Reduce your risk for heart disease by eating a healthy diet, engaging in physical activity, and managing your cholesterol and blood pressure.
