Ringing In the End of Treatments for Kate!

More bells are ringing at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper! On Friday, June 2, 2017, 27-year-old Kathryn (Kate) Sullivan, who was diagnosed with lymphoma, celebrated the end of her treatments. She is pictured with her mother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, fiancé, and sister.

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper Inpatient Oncology Unit Celebrates First Year

Last year, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper expanded its services with the opening of a new and specialized 30-bed, all private-room, inpatient oncology unit on the fifth floor of the Roberts Pavilion. Today, Cooper leadership, staff, and former patients were welcomed back to celebrate a year of hope and healing.

Today’s event marked an important milestone in MD Anderson Cooper’s continued determination to provide the best care for cancer patients in this state-of-the-art unit, which saw 1,637 admissions in its first year. Read more.

Andres Ferber, MD Hematologic Malignancy Research, funded by the DiFlorio family, to Kamyar Nader, MD, “Malignant Hematology Database at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper”. Dr. Nadar will construct a database of malignant hematological conditions, such as Hodgkin’s lymphoma, non Hodgkin’s lymphomas, multiple myeloma, leukemia, myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative disorders.
